Rowena Acraman, 22, is vying for the title of Miss Hibiscus 2024. She has been chosen by the Suva City Council to represent Apco Coatings.
Acraman is passionate about working with nonprofit organizations that tackle the pressing issues of climate change and protect human rights. The Suva City Council commends her involvement with these causes, highlighting her commitment to making a positive impact on the world.
After completing her education at St. Anne’s Primary School, Acraman attended Jai Narayan College and is currently a student at the University of the South Pacific. Her love for education and cross-cultural interactions is evident through her impressive language skills. She previously worked as a journalist and is fluent in Hindi, English, and Japanese.
Beyond her academic achievements, Acraman is an enthusiastic musician, artist, and vocalist. She plays both the guitar and ukulele and showcases her talents through her interests in art, music, and self-taught proficiency in Japanese, reflecting her deep appreciation for creativity and expression.
The Hibiscus Festival is set to take place at the Suva Civic Center and Civic Foreshore, running from August 31 to September 7.
