The President of Fiji, Ratu Wiliame Katonivere, awarded the Order of Fiji and 50th Anniversary medals during a ceremony held at the State House. The event also recognized senior civil servants and seven individuals who received permanent Fijian citizenship.

The ceremony featured three distinct categories: the Order of Fiji in both General and Military Divisions, the 50th Anniversary Commemorative Medal, and the Civil Service Medals. Additionally, the President presented Certificates of Citizenship to seven individuals, personally congratulating each of them for becoming part of the nation. He emphasized that citizenship fosters a sense of belonging and inclusivity within society.
