Holiday Drug Crackdown: Police Ramp Up Operations

Authorities are ramping up drug operations in response to a surge in activity associated with school holidays, festivals, meetings, and conferences.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations Livai Driu has issued a stern warning to those engaged in the illegal drug trade, emphasizing that they will be apprehended.

Recent police actions in Kadavu have led to significant drug discoveries and several arrests for illegal possession.

ACP Driu is calling on the public to assist in the fight against drug-related issues by reporting information via 917 or Crime Stoppers at 919.

K9 operations are bolstered by support from the New Zealand Police through the Fiji Police Partnership Programme, which enhances the capabilities of the Fiji Police Dog Patrol in conjunction with the Fiji Revenue and Customs Service.
