Historic First: Indian President to Address Fijian Parliament

The President of India, Her Excellency Smt. Droupadi Murmu, is scheduled to address the Fijian Parliament on Tuesday, August 6, 2024. This will mark the first occasion that an Indian President has spoken to the Fijian Parliament. The Parliament Secretariat has informed the public that entry to the Parliamentary complex will be by invitation only, owing to the limited seating available in the public gallery. The address will be broadcast live on the Fiji Parliament Facebook Page, the Parliament Channel on the Walesi platform, and various national television stations.
