High-Security Residence Targeted in Fiji Break-In

Police are looking into a break-in at the residence of the Commissioner of the Fiji Corrections Service (FCS) in Nasese.

According to police spokesperson Ana Naisoro, the incident took place on September 29, despite the property being well-fenced and under the watch of FCS personnel. Naisoro reported that no arrests have been made in connection with the case so far.

FCS Commissioner Jalesi Nakarawa informed this publication that a room was disturbed during the break-in, resulting in the theft of traditional artifacts, specifically a whale’s tooth, known as a tabua. He also noted that no one was injured during the event.
