Former Fiji Airways executive Shaenaz Voss and Sharun Ali, the airline’s general manager for Safety, Security, and Quality, were brought in for questioning at the Nadi Police Station yesterday. Accompanied by their lawyers, the two arrived shortly after noon to be interviewed by officers from the Criminal Investigation Department based in Suva. They left the police station around 5 PM.
Acting Commissioner of Police Crime Mesake Waqa confirmed that both individuals were interviewed under caution and subsequently released. Waqa stated, “They were questioned in regard to the breach in the Civil Aviation Security Regulation in 2018.” The investigation is ongoing.
