Heroic Act Turns Tragic: Man Dies While Saving Home from Blaze

A 40-year-old man tragically lost his life while attempting to assist a resident during a house fire in Nadroumai Village, Nadroga, yesterday. The victim was removing items from the home when he reportedly collapsed. He was quickly transported to Sigatoka Hospital, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival. Investigations are ongoing, and a post-mortem will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death. In light of several recent fire incidents, the Fiji Police Force is urging homeowners and property owners to take essential precautions by regularly checking for fire hazards in and around their properties.
