A heavy rain warning is currently in effect for Viti Levu, the Yasawa and Mamanuca islands, Kadavu, as well as nearby smaller islands, including Moala and the Southern Lau Group. In addition, a flash flood alert has been issued for all low-lying areas prone to flooding in Viti Levu.

According to the Nadi Weather Office, a trough of low pressure located just south of the group is causing cloud cover that impacts most regions of the country. Another active trough of low pressure, accompanied by clouds and rain, is anticipated to reach the area tonight.

Residents should be cautious, as localized heavy rainfall may result in flash flooding in vulnerable low-lying areas.
