The National Disaster Management Office has issued a heavy rain warning for the Yasawa and Mamanuca groups, as well as Viti Levu, Kadavu, Moala, and the Southern Lau group.

Residents in these areas are advised to stay alert as localized flooding is anticipated in low-lying and flood-prone communities. Parents are urged to keep their children away from flooded regions and to supervise them closely.

Additionally, residents are encouraged to reach out to the Fiji Police Force or the National Fire Authority for assistance and to seek shelter at designated evacuation centers if needed.

The NDMO emphasizes the importance of public safety and encourages the community to comply with all official advisories. The office will continue to collaborate with the Fiji Meteorological Service to monitor the situation and provide updates as necessary.
