A low trough is anticipated to predominantly impact the eastern regions of the country, according to the Fiji Meteorological Service Office in Nadi. They have issued a heavy rain warning alert for various areas across the Fiji group that will experience this weather pattern throughout the week.

The Fiji MET has indicated that significant rainfall could result in flash flooding in low-lying zones, particularly in Navua, Suva, and Nausori, alongside occasional showers and isolated thunderstorms.

Looking ahead to Thursday, the forecast predicts sporadic rain, with potential for heavy downpours and thunderstorms. This could cause flash flooding in low-lying areas of Nadi, Lautoka, and Ba, particularly during the afternoon or evening when cloud cover and showers are expected to intensify.

Localized heavy rainfall could create flash flooding risks in low-lying regions, while Labasa is projected to experience occasional showers and isolated thunderstorms until Friday.
