Three children have successfully undergone lifesaving heart surgeries at Sai Prema Hospital and have been discharged, bringing immense relief and joy to their families. Parents expressed gratitude to the hospital for providing their children with the “gift of life.”
Naomi Taubera, 27, was particularly emotional following her four-year-old son’s open-heart surgery, which involved closing heart valves. She recounted, “When my son was born, we had our first echocardiogram in Lautoka, but we couldn’t schedule the second one due to COVID-19 restrictions.”
After being referred by a healthcare professional, they turned to Sai Prema Hospital, known for offering free screenings for children, which led to the diagnosis of her son’s heart condition. “When I learned about his diagnosis, I was terrified and emotional. But now, I’m incredibly relieved that the surgery went well,” she said.
Taubera encourages other parents to take their children to Sai Prema Hospital, stressing, “It’s best to address these health concerns sooner rather than later.”
