Renovation projects at health facilities are being financed by the Government, according to Health Minister Dr. Atonio Lalabalavu. He stated, “All minor works that we are currently seeing right now, it’s from the ministry’s budgetary allocation.” During his tour of the northern region, Dr. Lalabalavu aimed to listen to the challenges faced by nurses and explore ways for the ministry to address them.
He emphasized the importance of witnessing the improvements at health facilities in the Bua and Cakaudrove subdivisions. Dr. Lalabalavu acknowledged that healthcare workers have made notable progress in enhancing infrastructure using their own resources. “You can now see the difference in terms of the infrastructure improvements,” he remarked, citing the nursing station in Daria as a prime example.
The minister also mentioned that additional health facilities are in the process of development.
