Renovation projects currently taking place in health facilities are financed by the government, according to Health Minister Dr. Atonio Lalabalavu.
Dr. Lalabalavu stated that the minor construction work being observed is funded through the ministry’s budget. As part of his tour in the northern region, he aimed to gain insight into the challenges faced by nurses and explore potential solutions.
The minister emphasized that his visit included assessing the improvements at facilities within the Bua and Cakaudrove area. He remarked that healthcare workers have made notable advancements in enhancing the infrastructure using their internal resources.
“You can now see the difference in terms of the infrastructure improvements. An example of this is the nursing station in Daria,” he noted. Additionally, Dr. Lalabalavu mentioned that other health facilities are also in the process of development.
