Health Minister Dr. Atonio Lalabalavu announced that the ongoing renovations at health facilities are being financed by the Government. He clarified that all minor construction work currently observed is funded through the ministry’s budget.
Dr. Lalabalavu shared that part of his recent tour in the northern region was aimed at understanding the challenges faced by nurses and identifying potential solutions from the ministry. During his visit, he focused on the developments at health facilities within the Bua and Cakaudrove subdivisions.
He praised healthcare workers for their efforts in enhancing infrastructure using internal resources, highlighting visible improvements. An example he provided was the updated nursing station in Daria. The minister also mentioned that additional health facilities are undergoing various development projects.
