The Education Minister Aseri Radrodro has stated that the performance of teachers in schools is monitored by the school heads. In response to a question from Opposition MP Hem Chand, Radrodro emphasized that these school leaders are qualified and familiar with the essential teaching and learning plans designed for their classes, regardless of their distance from major centers.
He highlighted the significant role school heads play in overseeing and supporting both teachers and students within their institutions. Regarding teaching hours, Radrodro specified that early childhood education requires a minimum of 20 hours per week, primary education demands 35 hours, and secondary education necessitates 37.5 hours weekly.
Addressing the issue of teacher shortages in specific subjects, Radrodro noted that this challenge is one he attributes to Hem Chand from his previous role overseeing human resources. Radrodro reassured that efforts are underway to ensure that the necessary teachers are provided for the schools as required.
