Graduation Dreams Realized: One Woman’s Journey Against the Odds

After six years of hard work, Avisaki Buirokotuiloma has successfully completed her Bachelor of Education degree at the University of the South Pacific. Raised by parents who supported her financially, Ms. Buirokotuiloma also took on part-time jobs to fund her education.

Walking across the graduation stage was a momentous occasion for her. She faced challenges in securing the financial resources necessary to pay for her courses, which at times made her contemplate giving up. However, the encouragement and support from her parents kept her motivated.

Ms. Buirokotuiloma expressed gratitude for the numerous prayers of her family and relatives, acknowledging that their support was crucial to her success.

Originally from Navuniyasi in Naitasiri, she has always envisioned a career in teaching, and now that dream is becoming a reality. She highlighted that balancing her studies and home responsibilities was challenging, but with the right information and support, she was able to overcome these obstacles.

With her degree in hand, Ms. Buirokotuiloma looks forward to securing a stable job and contributing to her household. She emphasizes that it is never too late to achieve one’s goals and expresses joy in having reached this milestone.
