Filimoni Vosarogo, the Minister of Lands and Minerals Resources, took a break from his parliamentary responsibilities to participate in the official opening of the McDonald’s Inter-District Championship. During his speech, Minister Vosarogo highlighted the significance of government support for sports, which plays a crucial role in developing young talent throughout Fiji.
“I’m truly encouraged; in fact, I had to request leave from the Speaker of the House, as parliament is in session this week and today is the final day. However, I prioritized being here with you to demonstrate that your government is equally committed to the growth of soccer in our country,” Vosarogo remarked.
The tournament, showcasing emerging soccer players from different districts, is currently being held at Nasinu Muslim Primary School and will wrap up tomorrow.
