Filimoni Vosarogo, the Minister of Lands and Minerals Resources, took a break from his parliamentary responsibilities to participate in the official opening of the McDonald’s Inter-District Championship. During the event, Minister Vosarogo highlighted the significance of government support for sports, particularly in fostering young talent across Fiji.
“I’m really encouraged; in fact, I had to request leave from the Speaker of the House, as Parliament is in session this week. Today is the last day, but I made the effort to be here with you. This shows that your government is committed to the development of soccer in the country,” Vosarogo remarked.
The tournament, showcasing promising young soccer players from various districts, is currently underway at the Nasinu Muslim Primary School and will conclude tomorrow.
