Filimoni Vosarogo, the Minister of Lands and Minerals Resources, took a break from his parliamentary responsibilities to participate in the official opening of the McDonald’s Inter-District Championship.
During his address at the event, Minister Vosarogo highlighted the significance of government support in sports, which plays a crucial role in developing young talent throughout Fiji.
“I’m really encouraged; in fact, I had to request leave from the Speaker of the House since parliament is in session this week. Today is the last day, but I needed to be here with you. This demonstrates that your government is dedicated to the growth of soccer in the country,” Vosarogo expressed.
The tournament, showcasing young soccer talent from various districts, is currently being held at Nasinu Muslim Primary School and is expected to conclude tomorrow.
