Gospel High’s Rugby Team Ready to Shock in Semi-Finals!

The Gospel High School under-15 rugby team is gearing up for an important match in the Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby Union Super Deans semi-final against Marist Brothers High School on Saturday. Coach Epeneri Koroiveibau emphasized that the team is not merely participating to fill space, recognizing Marist as a leading school in the Southern Zone.

Koroiveibau noted that the team has been in camp since Wednesday, indicating a serious commitment to preparation. He expressed gratitude for the support from the school, alumni, and parents, which has been instrumental in motivating the young players throughout their journey.

The coach, hailing from Nasilai, Rewa, mentioned that the team can only aid the players in their preparation for this pivotal game. He emphasized that the players understand the importance of the moment, as they will be the ones on the field.

“There’s no magic to our success; we’ve trained hard, played hard, and enjoyed every game,” Koroiveibau stated. He also highlighted the importance of teamwork, saying they do not aim to create superstars but rather to win as a collective unit.

In a show of unity, Koroiveibau encouraged supporters to wear pink to the game on Saturday.
