Eighty-five golfers participated in the weekly individual Stableford competition at the Fiji Golf Club in Vatuwaqa last Saturday. The event included both men’s and women’s categories across grades A, B, and C.
Sponsored by Frank Hamagushi, the tournament provided an opportunity for players to take a break from their busy lives and enjoy each other’s company on the course. The weather was generally pleasant with clear skies, allowing the competition to proceed smoothly, despite water supply issues affecting the broader Suva area from Friday until Sunday.
The Stableford event is set to continue next weekend, maintaining its status as a regular feature for the club.
Results for the competition are as follows:
A Grade – 1st: Eddie Yuen, 2nd: Semisi Tubuna, 3rd: Ravineet Kumar.
B Grade – 1st: Dupito Simamora, 2nd: Ram Bajekal, 3rd: Mahmood Rafik.
C Grade – 1st: Suresh Sunny Prasad, 2nd: Neil McFarlane, 3rd: Mahmood Rahmen.
Ladies – 1st: Barbara Naisara, 2nd: Margaret Browne.
