Stephen Swanepoel from South Africa was declared the amateur champion at the Coastal Rental Natadola Open Golf 2024 after scoring 76 on the fifth hole, with Melbourne’s Adish Kumar finishing in second place. In the professional category, Roneel Parkash, the assistant manager of Denarau Golf Club, took the top spot, outperforming Sam Lee, who is currently based in South Korea.
Parkash expressed his excitement, saying, “It’s a great feeling to be back in Natadola Bay. The Fiji Open is next.”
Avinesh Datt, the manager of Natadola Golf course, noted that the event was blessed with excellent weather. He extended his gratitude to all the sponsors for their support and assured that next year’s event would be even more impressive. Datt also praised the ground staff for maintaining the course in excellent condition, as well as the clubhouse golf operations and pro-shop staff for their dedication.
In addition to the main awards, other accolades included Suruj Maharaj winning the Men’s Overall Nett with a score of 69, while winners in the Men’s A, B, and C grades were Jack Butler (72), Ben Herter (71), and Rajeev Patel (76), respectively. In the ladies’ categories, Amy Subam topped the Gross category with a score of 93, and Susie Yee claimed the Overall Nett title with a score of 86.
