Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister, Professor Biman Prasad, had a meeting with the First Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Professor Gita Gopinath, during the 2024 International Monetary Fund/World Bank Group Annual Meetings taking place in Washington DC, USA.
The discussions centered around the current trends in the global economy, as well as the future outlook and risks linked to rising geopolitical tensions and climate change.
Meetings will continue throughout the week with the President of the World Bank, the Managing Director of the IMF, the President of COP 29, and various other bilateral engagements.
