Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Professor Biman Prasad recently met with IMF’s First Deputy Managing Director, Professor Gita Gopinath, during the 2024 International Monetary Fund/World Bank Group Annual Meetings taking place in Washington DC.
The discussions centered on the current state of the global economy, prospective outlooks, and the risks associated with increasing geopolitical tensions and climate change.
The meetings will continue throughout the week, including engagements with the World Bank President, IMF Managing Director, COP 29 President, and various other bilateral discussions.
