Futsal Frenzy: 25 Teams Battle at Tebara Hardware IDC 2024!

The Tebara Hardware Muslim Futsal IDC 2024 is currently taking place at the FMF Gymnasium in Suva, featuring 25 teams competing over three days. This reflects an increase from last year’s participation, highlighting the event’s rising popularity.

Organized by the Fiji Muslim Sports Association, this tournament is in its second year and has already been deemed a success. Vice-president Mohammad Faruk noted that the competition has been challenging but filled with thrilling matches.

“This event includes various divisions such as the main division, masters division, under-15 grade, and Legends grade,” Faruk stated. “All teams are striving for victory, with a prize money of $1,000 for each grade’s winners. The competition has displayed exceptional talent, especially from the U15 teams, making it an exhilarating experience for both players and fans.”

Faruk also expressed gratitude towards major sponsors like Signs Pacific Nadi, Safety Rentals Cars, and Tebara Hardware, whose support has been pivotal in bringing this event to fruition.

As for match results in the main grade, Ba tied with Nadi at 3-3, Makoi and Suva ended in a 4-4 draw, Drasa narrowly defeated Nasinu 4-3, Navua triumphed over Sigatoka 6-3, Valelevu dominated Nasinu 6-0, and Sigatoka claimed a 3-1 victory over South Leg.

The Muslim Futsal competition is set to conclude today.
