Futsal Fever: 25 Teams Battle for Glory in Fiji!

The Tebara Hardware Muslim Futsal IDC 2024 is currently taking place at the FMF Gymnasium in Suva, featuring a total of 25 teams participating in this three-day tournament. This marks an increase from last year, indicating the event’s rising popularity.

Hosted by the Fiji Muslim Sports Association, this tournament is now in its second year and has been running smoothly. Vice-president Mohammad Faruk noted that the competition has been challenging yet filled with thrilling matches.

“There are various divisions in the competition, including the main division, masters division, under-15 category, and Legends grade,” Faruk explained. “Each team is striving for triumph, with a prize of $1,000 awarded to the winners of each grade.”

He highlighted the impressive talent showcased, particularly by the U15 teams, making it an exhilarating experience for players and fans alike. Major sponsors, including Signs Pacific Nadi, Safety Rentals Cars, and Tebara Hardware, have significantly contributed to the event’s success, and their support is greatly valued.

In recent results from the main grade, Ba drew with Nadi 3-3, Makoi tied with Suva 4-4, Drasa edged past Nasinu 4-3, Navua defeated Sigatoka 6-3, Nasinu lost to Valelevu 0-6, and South Leg succumbed to Sigatoka 1-3.

The Muslim Futsal competition is set to conclude today.
