The Cabinet has sanctioned the second round of fund redeployment from the approved 2023-2024 Budget to address the over-expenditure issues faced by the Ministry of Education and the Fiji Police Force.
An amount of FJ$7,936,665.94 (VIP) will be reallocated from the existing budget to regularize the excess spending by these two departments.
Earlier in July, the first redeployment was authorized to accommodate an additional expenditure requirement of FJ$105,185,000.00 (VIP) for various agencies and projects.
This redeployment process aligns with the stipulations set forth in the Financial Management Act.
