Fuel prices, including unleaded fuel, diesel, and premix, have seen a reduction as of today. Starting from the first of the month, the price of kerosene decreased from $1.79 to $1.67 per litre. Unleaded fuel is now priced at $2.62 per litre, down from $2.73, while diesel costs $2.18 per litre. Similarly, premix has dropped from $2.55 to $2.43 per litre.
In contrast, there has been an increase in the prices of gas cylinders, with a 4.5kg cylinder now priced at $14.97, up from $14.80. A 12kg cylinder will now cost $39.91.
Joel Abraham, the CEO of the Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission (FCCC), emphasized that ensuring affordability for Fijian families continues to be a top priority. He articulated that these adjustments reflect the FCCC’s commitment to protecting consumers from the fluctuations of the global market.
