Starting tomorrow, Friday, November 1, 2024, fuel prices will experience a decrease across multiple categories, providing some financial relief for consumers. Specifically, the price of motor spirit will drop from $2.73 per litre to $2.62. Additionally, premix fuel will see a reduction of 12 cents, falling from $2.55 to $2.43 per litre. Kerosene is also set to decrease from $1.79 to $1.67 per litre, while diesel will decline by 15 cents, moving from $2.33 to $2.18 per litre.
However, the cost of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) products will see an increase. A 4.5 kg cylinder of LPG will now be priced at $14.97 following a 17 cent rise. The price for a 12 kg cylinder will escalate from $39.46 to $39.91. Furthermore, bulk gas prices will go up by 4 cents, from $3.04 to $3.08 per kg, and autogas will increase slightly by 2 cents, from $2.14 to $2.16 per litre.
This adjustment in fuel prices showcases a mixed bag for consumers, with reductions in fuel costs benefiting motorists and those relying on standard fuels, while the increase in LPG costs could impact household budgets. Nevertheless, the overall decline in traditional fuel prices may foster a more positive economic environment by easing transportation costs and possibly lowering expenses in other sectors reliant on fuel. It’s a reminder that the market is always shifting, and consumers have opportunities to adapt and manage expenses effectively.
