Joel Abraham, CEO of the Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission (FCCC), emphasized the importance of maintaining affordability for Fijian families. He stated that this adjustment in fuel prices showcases FCCC’s dedication to protecting consumers from the effects of global market fluctuations.
Abraham acknowledged the challenges posed by rising costs on daily life and highlighted that through careful monitoring and regulatory actions, the FCCC strives to keep essential commodities like fuel accessible, especially for the most vulnerable populations. By stabilizing fuel prices, they aim to support household budgets while reinforcing their commitment to consumer welfare and promoting fair market practices.
This positive news indicates a proactive approach by the FCCC in managing fuel prices, alleviating financial pressures on families, and ensuring their needs are prioritized in the face of market changes.
