Vasemaca Ratusaitadra has celebrated a significant achievement this week, graduating from the University of the South Pacific with a Bachelor of Commerce in Business Management. This milestone comes after five years of dedicated study, which began in 2019.
Hailing from Nasegai, Ravitaki in Kadavu and residing in Vanuadina, Tokatoka, Tailevu, Vasemaca’s success is attributed to her determination and commitment to her studies. She expressed gratitude towards her family for their unwavering support throughout her educational journey.
Vasemaca was one of six students to earn this degree from the University, a testament to her as a role model for her peers. Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, including a lack of access to a laptop for her studies, Vasemaca overcame these obstacles through resilience and hard work.
Her future plans include continuing her professional development and advancing her education. Vasemaca encourages others to remain steadfast and not to succumb to negativity, urging them to always rely on faith and remember the sacrifices of their ancestors in pursuit of education.
