After six years of study, Avisaki Buirokotuiloma has successfully completed her Bachelor of Education program at the University of the South Pacific.
Supported financially by her parents, Ms. Buirokotuiloma faced the challenge of securing additional income to continue her education. Graduating on Friday was a moment of great pride for her.
She highlighted that finding enough financial resources for her courses was a major challenge. “At times, I considered giving up, but the support and encouragement from my parents were my biggest motivators,” Ms. Buirokotuiloma stated. “I am incredibly thankful for the countless prayers from family and relatives; their support made this possible.”
To help finish her degree, Ms. Buirokotuiloma often took on part-time work while managing her studies and responsibilities at home. Despite the difficulties, she was committed to achieving her goal.
Originating from Navuniyasi in Naitasiri, she expressed that her aspiration to become a teacher is now on the cusp of realization. She has always imagined herself in a classroom, and that dream is beginning to materialize. “With this degree, I will secure a stable job and contribute to my family. It’s never too late; I am thrilled to have accomplished this.”
