Tarfeeha Nuzhat’s determination to improve her study habits has paid off significantly, culminating in her recognition as the Most Outstanding Management Student 2024 during the University of Fiji’s School of Business and Economics awards held at the Saweni campus in Lautoka. The 22-year-old not only received this prestigious accolade but also earned Outstanding Awards in Marketing Management and HR Management.
As Nuzhat approaches her graduation with a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in English Literary Arts and Management, she credits her family as her primary motivation for her success. “What I have achieved is for them, as without them, I wouldn’t be here today on this platform,” she expressed. She believes in the importance of supporting others, citing, “Adjusting someone else’s crown can never let yours slip.” Nuzhat encourages those facing difficulties to remain persistent, stating, “Life has setbacks, but it also has comebacks. Dream big and be patient.”
In addition to her academic focus, Nuzhat emphasizes the importance of self-care, ensuring she takes breaks to recharge and boost her concentration. She shared how adapting to life in Lautoka after moving from Suva was initially challenging, expressing feelings of loneliness and missing her siblings. Despite these hurdles, she remained committed to her academic goals, even when it led to sleepless nights filled with assignments and exams. “Each challenge has shaped me, teaching me resilience and the importance of perseverance,” she noted.
