From Passion to Profit: Tasweed Ali’s Dairy Farming Journey

Tasweed Zunar Ali, motivated by his father’s legacy on their family dairy farm, has pursued his aspiration of becoming a dairy farmer despite facing societal challenges. Following the passing of his father in 2021, he took over the farm, successfully increasing the herd from 20 to 60 cows and achieving an average production of 230 liters of milk daily for Fiji Dairy Limited.

Despite encountering obstacles such as dog attacks and adverse weather conditions, Tasweed has benefited from the support of the Agriculture Ministry and the Dairy Extension Programme, which have enhanced his pasture management and feeding practices. He encourages those interested in farming to follow their passion while emphasizing the importance of hygiene, animal care, and finding joy in their work.
