Tasweed Zunar Ali has followed in his father’s footsteps to become a dairy farmer, driven by his childhood experiences on their family dairy farm. After the passing of his father in 2021, he took over the farm and successfully grew the herd from 20 to 60 cows, now producing an average of 230 liters of milk daily for Fiji Dairy Limited.
Despite facing obstacles such as dog attacks and adverse weather conditions, Tasweed has benefited from the support of the Agriculture Ministry and the Dairy Extension Programme, which have helped him enhance pasture management and feeding practices. He encourages aspiring farmers to pursue their love for farming, emphasize hygiene and animal welfare, and find joy in their work.
