From Dreams of Flight to a Legal Triumph: John Vaurasi’s Journey

John Vaurasi abandoned his dream of becoming a pilot to pursue a career in law, marking his recent swearing-in as a lawyer as his greatest achievement. He was the youngest among the 45 lawyers admitted to the bar during a ceremony held at the Grand Pacific Hotel.

Vaurasi attributed his shift in focus to his part-time work at Rabuku Lawyers, which sparked his newfound interest in law. “Studying law wasn’t easy. I struggled a lot, but working part-time at a law firm made it much more manageable,” he shared.

He noted that the challenges of mastering theoretical concepts and extensive reading were daunting, yet he found that fostering relationships with senior lawyers and lecturers greatly supported his journey. Despite facing moments of discouragement, Vaurasi expressed gratitude to his parents for their constant encouragement and belief in his potential.
