From Dream to Reality: A Graduate’s Inspiring Journey Through Challenges

After six years of hard work, Avisaki Buirokotuiloma has successfully completed her Bachelor of Education at the University of the South Pacific. Supported financially by her parents, Ms. Buirokotuiloma took on jobs to fund her education and was overjoyed to walk across the graduation stage on Friday, realizing a long-held dream.

She described the significant challenge of securing enough financial resources to pay for her studies. “There were moments when I considered giving up, but the encouragement from my parents kept me going,” she said. “I am incredibly grateful for the constant prayers from my family and relatives; their support made all the difference.”

While pursuing her degree, Ms. Buirokotuiloma often juggled part-time work and her home responsibilities. Despite the difficulties, she remained determined to succeed. She acknowledged that balancing her studies with household duties was a tough challenge, but having access to the right information and support was crucial.

Hailing from Navuniyasi in Naitasiri, her aspiration to become a teacher is now within reach. She has always envisioned herself in a classroom, a vision that is now materializing. “With this degree, I can secure a stable job and contribute more at home. It’s never too late, and I am thrilled to have achieved this,” she expressed.
