Tasweed Zunar Ali, inspired by his father’s legacy on their family dairy farm, has pursued his dream of becoming a dairy farmer despite societal challenges. Following the death of his father in 2021, Tasweed took over the management of the farm, successfully increasing the herd size from 20 to 60 cows and producing an impressive average of 230 liters of milk each day for Fiji Dairy Limited.
Throughout his journey, Tasweed has encountered various obstacles, including dog attacks and adverse weather conditions. However, he has received valuable assistance from the Agriculture Ministry and the Dairy Extension Programme, which has helped him enhance his pasture management and feeding practices.
Tasweed encourages future farmers to follow their passion for agriculture, emphasizing the importance of hygiene and animal welfare while finding joy in their work.
