Michael Prasad, a native of Suva, has followed his passion for fitness and sports to successfully launch Evolve Fitness Gym, located on Raojibhai Patel Street. Aged 34, Prasad left his job at the Bank South Pacific in 2019 to fully dedicate himself to fitness, encouraged by the unwavering support from his wife, Courtney Cheer, and their two sons.

Prasad’s journey began at Metro Gym in Suva, where he initially assisted people in their training. Realizing the desire for an exclusive gym experience, he opened a small studio that thrived for four years. He took the leap to expand into a larger space, recognizing the demand from his past clients for a conveniently located gym.

The new gym features an impressive selection of 41 specific pieces of gym equipment, with an emphasis on offering intimate fitness classes limited to groups of eight. This approach allows trainers to provide individualized attention to members. Evolve Fitness Gym aims to cultivate a community of dedicated fitness enthusiasts and plans to introduce more classes, including yoga and beginner programs.

A unique aspect of Prasad’s philosophy is encapsulated in his tagline: “live your fullest.” This perspective encourages individuals to engage in fitness without the stress of strict diets or training regimens. Instead, members are welcome to enjoy life’s pleasures while maintaining their health goals through regular workouts.
