The Home Affairs Ministry will bear the expenses for bus services in the North for the Fiji Day celebrations taking place in Labasa tomorrow, according to Samuela Ligairi, the special administrator for Labasa Town Council.
He confirmed that the bus service will cater to residents from Savusavu, Nabouwalu, and Dogotuki. “We will provide three buses each for Nabouwalu and Savusavu, and one for Dogotuki,” Mr. Ligairi stated. “This initiative is designed to make it easier for everyone to participate in the celebrations without transport concerns.”
Additionally, he mentioned that bus services in Labasa would operate as usual. “We have received assurances from the bus operators in the North, as we want a large turnout for the event,” Mr. Ligairi added. The bus services will commence from three different locations at 6 a.m.
