The New England Free Jacks have officially signed Fijian Drua prop Jone Koroiduadua. The 25-year-old athlete from Nalebaleba, Nadroga joined the Drua in the 2022 season after spending two years with the French Top 14 club Clermont.
In a statement, the Free Jacks highlighted that Koroiduadua will significantly enhance their front row as they seek to build on their recent achievements and further their success in Major League Rugby (MLR).
Koroiduadua is considered one of Fiji’s promising young talents and is expected to contribute a high level of power and physicality to the team’s forward pack. He has an impressive rugby background, having played over 20 matches for the Fijian Drua in three seasons of Super Rugby Pacific, along with earning two caps for the Flying Fijians, which includes participation in the 2023 Rugby World Cup.
Weighing in at 255 lbs, Koroiduadua is known for his formidable athleticism and effectiveness in collisions, whether he holds the ball or not, making him a valuable asset for the Free Jacks.
