The case stems from an incident in January 2024, where the woman allegedly misled a victim into paying $750 for a bogus online investment opportunity. After a thorough investigation, the police charged her with one count of obtaining financial advantage by deception. The Fiji Police Force continues to urge the public to protect their personal information, including passwords and PINs, to prevent falling victim to online scams. The woman is scheduled to appear in Court today.
