Flying Fijians Unveil Exciting New Talent for Samoa Showdown

Vuate Karawalevu and Epeli Momo are set to make their debuts for the FIJI Water Flying Fijians as they face Samoa in the opening match of the Pacific Nations Cup in Suva tomorrow. Momo will play on the left wing, while Karawalevu will take the position of fullback.

Halfback Moses Sorovi and centre Apisalome Vota will also be making their debut, coming off the bench. Coach Mick Byrne has assembled a robust starting lineup, featuring Haereiti Hetet, Captain Ikanivere, and Samuela Tawake in the front row. Isoa Nasilasila and Temo Mayanavanua will serve as locks, with Meli Derenalagi positioned as blindside flanker and Kitione Salawa on the openside flank. Elia Canakaivata has been designated as the Number 8.

The halves will feature Frank Lomani and Caleb Muntz. Momo’s wing partner will be Olympic silver medalist Selestino Ravutaumada, while fellow Olympic medalist Iosefo Masi will be in the midfield alongside Inia Tabuavou, with Karawalevu wearing the number 15 jersey.

The reserves bench will include Sorovi and Vota, joined by Mesulame Dolokoto, Eroni Mawi, Peni Ravai, Ratu Leone Rotuisolia, Albert Tuisue, and Isaiah Armstrong-Ravula.

The highly anticipated match is scheduled to start at 6 PM.
