A Fiji rugby player had an outstanding performance in the French Top 14 league on Saturday. Bayonne center Sireli Maqala showcased his skills alongside former England star Manu Tuilagi as they secured a convincing 32-15 victory against Racing 92. Maqala contributed to the win by scoring a try in the 45th minute, while tighthead prop Luke Tagi was brought in from the bench. Racing 92 also featured powerful winger Josua Tuisova.

However, it was a challenging day for Fiji’s second-five eighth Adrea Cocagi, who received a red card in the 20th minute of Castres’ 35-13 victory over Stade Francais. Veteran Leone Nakarawa played at lock, while Setareki Turagacoke began on the bench for Stade Francais.
Semi Radradra faced disciplinary action with a yellow card for Lyon, who narrowly lost 29-26 to USA Perpignan. Radradra and Sam Matavesi started from the bench, while Perpignan’s Tavite Veredamu scored a try during injury time, with Eneriko Buliruarua playing at center.
In a tense match, Toulouse, featuring burly winger Setareki Bituniyata, secured a close 22-14 win over Pau, who placed Lekima Tagitagivalu on the bench.
Fiji-born French winger Alivereti Raka also shone, scoring a try for Clermont in their dominant 55-33 triumph against Vannes. Fiery flanker Peceli Yato came off the bench for Clermont, while Salesi Rayasi started for Vannes.
