Flying Fijians Set for Thrilling Debut Against Samoa!

Vuate Karawalevu and Epeli Momo are set to make their debuts for the FIJI Water Flying Fijians in the opening match of the Pacific Nations Cup against Samoa, taking place tomorrow in Suva. Momo will feature on the left wing while Karawalevu will take up the fullback position.

Halfback Moses Sorovi and center Apisalome Vota will also make their first appearances coming off the bench. Head coach Mick Byrne has assembled a strong starting lineup, featuring Haereiti Hetet, Captain Ikanivere, and Samuela Tawake in the front row.

Isoa Nasilasila and Temo Mayanavanua will anchor the locks, with Meli Derenalagi starting as the blindside flanker and Kitione Salawa on the openside. Elia Canakaivata is positioned at Number 8.

The halfback pairing will consist of Frank Lomani and Caleb Muntz, while Olympic silver medalist Selestino Ravutaumada joins Momo on the wing. Fellow Olympic medallist Iosefo Masi will combine with Inia Tabuavou in the midfield. Karawalevu will don the number 15 jersey.

In addition to Sorovi and Vota, the reserves include Mesulame Dolokoto, Eroni Mawi, Peni Ravai, Ratu Leone Rotuisolia, Albert Tuisue, and Isaiah Armstrong-Ravula.

The highly anticipated match is scheduled to kick off at 6pm.
