Flying Fijians Set for Exciting Debut Against Samoa

Vuate Karawalevu and Epeli Momo are set to make their debut with the FIJI Water Flying Fijians as they face Samoa in the opening match of the Pacific Nations Cup in Suva tomorrow. Momo will occupy the left wing position, while Karawalevu will play at fullback.

In addition to them, halfback Moses Sorovi and center Apisalome Vota will also be making their debuts from the bench. Coach Mick Byrne has named a robust starting lineup, featuring Haereiti Hetet, Captain Ikanivere, and Samuela Tawake in the front row. Isoa Nasilasila and Temo Mayanavanua will serve as the locks, while Meli Derenalagi will play as the blindside flanker and Kitione Salawa will take the openside flanker position. Elia Canakaivata has been designated as Number 8.

Frank Lomani and Caleb Muntz will pair in the halves, with Momo joined on the wing by Olympic silver medalist Selestino Ravutaumada. Another Olympic medalist, Iosefo Masi, will play in midfield alongside Inia Tabuavou, with Karawalevu donning the number 15 jersey.

The bench includes Sorovi and Vota along with Mesulame Dolokoto, Eroni Mawi, Peni Ravai, Ratu Leone Rotuisolia, Albert Tuisue, and Isaiah Armstrong-Ravula.

The highly anticipated match is scheduled to kick off at 6 PM.
