Flying Fijians Set for Debut Showdown Against Samoa!

Vuate Karawalevu and Epeli Momo are set to make their debuts with the FIJI Water Flying Fijians against Samoa in the opening match of the Pacific Nations Cup in Suva tomorrow. Momo will play on the left wing, while Karawalevu will take up the role of fullback.

In addition, halfback Moses Sorovi and center Apisalome Vota are expected to make their debuts as substitutes. Coach Mick Byrne has assembled a strong starting lineup, featuring Haereiti Hetet, Captain Tevita Ikanivere, and Samuela Tawake in the front row.

Isoa Nasilasila and Temo Mayanavanua will serve as locks, while Meli Derenalagi plays as the blindside flanker and Kitione Salawa takes on the openside. Elia Canakaivata will occupy the Number 8 position.

The halfback pairing will be Frank Lomani and Caleb Muntz. Momo will be joined by Olympic silver medalist Selestino Ravutaumada on the wing, with another Olympic medalist, Iosefo Masi, playing in midfield alongside Inia Tabuavou, while Karawalevu will wear the number 15 jersey.

In the reserves, Sorovi and Vota will be joined by Mesulame Dolokoto, Eroni Mawi, Peni Ravai, Ratu Leone Rotuisolia, Albert Tuisue, and Isaiah Armstrong-Ravula.

The highly anticipated match is scheduled to kick off at 6 PM.
