“Flying Fijians Ready for Showdown: Tackle Contest Strategy Unveiled”

The FIJI Water Flying Fijians squad is fully prepared for their upcoming match against the New Zealand All Blacks at Snap Dragon Stadium in San Diego, USA next Saturday.

Head coach Mick Byrne confirmed that all players have been given the all-clear and are free of any significant injuries following their training camp.

Despite some minor issues from their physical game against Georgia the previous week, Byrne reported that Caleb Muntz is in good running condition but has yet to rejoin training, with plans for his return later in the week.

“All our players are fit and ready for the game, with just a few minor bumps and bruises from our last match against Georgia, but so far so good,” said Byrne.

“Caleb Muntz is doing well but hasn’t joined training yet; we expect him to join us later in the week,” Byrne added.

With the match against the All Blacks approaching, Byrne emphasized the need for improvement in certain areas.

“If we can win the tackle contest, it creates opportunities. What we know about our team is well known: if we can create one-on-one situations, we will be in good shape. So, that’ll be our objective—to win the tackle contest and try to create a few one-on-ones out wide.”

“We also need to strengthen our defense, limit their ball possession, and be ready for the fast-paced game they like to play.”

“It’s going to be a tough challenge, but I believe in our team’s abilities and determination.”

The match kicks off at 2:30 pm.
