The FIJI Water Flying Fijians will be missing several key players for the upcoming 2024 Pacific Nations Cup, allowing six new talents to step into the squad.
Among the notable absentees are Waisea Nayacalevu, Semi Radradra, Levani Botia, Peniasi Dakuwaqa, and Josua Tuisova.
Head Coach Mick Byrne expressed his enthusiasm for the younger players, highlighting the importance of authenticity. “The message to all our young players is to enjoy the selection and be who they are. They don’t have to come in and do anything special now that they’ve joined the Flying Fijians,” Byrne stated.
Byrne further emphasized that while the new additions are expected to infuse energy into the team, it is crucial for them to remain composed and avoid unnecessary pressure to excel.
