Flying Fijians Debut Excitement: New Faces Take on Samoa!

Vuate Karawalevu and Epeli Momo are set to make their debuts for the FIJI Water Flying Fijians against Samoa in the opening match of the Pacific Nations Cup in Suva tomorrow. Momo will play on the left wing, while Karawalevu will take the position of fullback.

Halfback Moses Sorovi and powerful center Apisalome Vota will also be making their debut, coming off the bench.

Coach Mick Byrne has assembled a formidable starting lineup, featuring Haereiti Hetet, Captain Ikanivere, and Samuela Tawake in the front row. Isoa Nasilasila and Temo Mayanavanua will serve as locks, with Meli Derenalagi positioned as the blindside flanker and Kitione Salawa on the openside. Elia Canakaivata will take on the role of Number 8.

The halfback pairing will consist of Frank Lomani and Caleb Muntz. Joining Momo on the wing is Olympic silver medalist Selestino Ravutaumada, while fellow Olympic medalist Iosefo Masi joins Inia Tabuavou in the midfield, with Karawalevu assigned the number 15 jersey.

In the reserve bench with Sorovi and Vota are Mesulame Dolokoto, Eroni Mawi, Peni Ravai, Ratu Leone Rotuisolia, Albert Tuisue, and Isaiah Armstrong-Ravula.

The highly anticipated match is set to kick off at 6 PM.
